The AJW Design awards are different from any other jewellery awards. The AJW awards focus on contemporary items of fine jewellery. The winning and finalist designs in each of the four categories will be available for consumers to purchase from participating stores!

The three judges selected, were chosen for their vast experience within the jewellery industry.

	Rex Steele Merten Rex is a working professional jeweller and artist who has worked in the jewellery industry since he was an apprentice at Hardy Brothers in 1953. During his career he has won four Diamonds - International Awards - the "Oscars" of worldwide jewellery, plus many Australian design awards.			Roula Nicolacopoulos Roula with 20 years in the jewellery industry behind her, has been running a very successful jewellery store with husband, Alex in Sydney's south for the past 7 years. Roula has an eye for detail & quality, and a good feel for current trends, making her a perfect choice as a judge of contemporary jewellery.			Barry Jackson Barry's extensive career encompasses over 40 years in the retail jewellery industry. Barry is a director of Nationwide Jewellers, the largest jewellery buying group in Australasia. Barry is a past federal president of the Jewellers Association of Australia.
